ANTEC serves Northwestern University researchers and is open to visiting scientists and local industry researchers. Equipment in the core is self-service and training is required. To start using ANTEC, you must open a NUCore account.
Staff members provide equipment training and technical assistance on open-access instrumentation. For more information contact our staff or view our location information.
An illustration created by Mark Seniw, ANTEC's scientific illustrator, was selected as a cover image for the October 2, 2024, issue of the Journal of the American Chemical Society. Seniw produced the illustration for Professor Milan Mrksich and coauthors to accompany their article titled "Synthesis and Activity of T-Cell Tumor-Directing MegaMolecules."

The JASCO J-1500 Circular Dichroism (CD) Spectrometer and Prusa i3 MK3+ Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D Printer are now available to ANTEC users.
The CD spectrometer (pictured at left) performs measurements on the differential absorption spectra between left- and right-hand circularly polarized light in the range of 163-950 nm, and the 3D printer can be used for prototype manufacturing of parts that accelerate research activities.
