Izon Exoid Tunable Resistive Pulse Sensing (TRPS) Particle Size Analyzer

Description and ApplicationsIzon Exoid instrument

The Exoid Tunable Resistive Pulse Sensing (TRPS) instrument from Izon Science performs measurements on nanoparticle size, number concentration, and surface charges. As a complementary technique to other particle sizing techniques available at ANTEC (DLS and NTA), TRPS measures particle clearance events through a single nanopore by recording the temporal changes in electrical current. This technique is particularly suited for pre-purified extracellular vesicles and synthetic nanoparticles with size ranging from 40 nm to 11 µm. Nanopore modules are available for purchase at a pass-through cost.

This instrument was kindly donated by the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the McCormick School of Engineering.
