MCR 302 Rheometer
Description and Applications
The MCR 302 rheometer from Anton Paar allows for a wide variety of rheological tests in rotational and oscillatory mode. It measures shear stress, shear modulus, and viscosity of biomaterials in small volumes, under a variety of chemical conditions and temperature requirements. The MCR 302 is equipped with the Toolmaster™ recognition system for automatic detection of measuring systems; T-Ready™, which sets the temperature of the lower plate and guarantees that the set temperature is met prior to sample testing; and TruGap™, which enables changes in the gap during measurement to account for thermal expansion of the sample and the cone. The Peltier temperature control (-20° to 200° C) enables temperature-dependent measurements at maximum sensitivity.
At ANTEC, the MCR 302 is used to study shear-dependent properties of precious biomaterials, gels, polymer solutions, and nanoparticle dispersions designed to be introduced into living organisms, in order to simulate in vivo conditions.
