CRN: Center for Regenerative Nanomedicine

Services, Rates and Ordering

We provide standard and custom peptide synthesis, purification and characterization on scales that range from 0.05–2.0 mmol that yield anywhere from single-digit mg to grams of final purified material.

Our services are available à la carte where any or all services may be necessary, or can be used for a given project.

We also offer training and self-service use on some of our services/instrumentation as well as project consultation and peptide design assistance. Technical service and lyophilization charges are added to full-service orders as needed.

Rates

Please note that the rates below are for Northwestern University researchers and Chicago Biomedical Consortium (CBC) Open Access members. We specialize in making non-standard and custom modified peptides such as the incorporation of unnatural amino acids, dyes, drugs, biotin, PEGs and click chemistry components. For more information about our services, external user rates or custom quotes, please contact the core director or fill out the quote request form below.

Peptide products are provided in most cases as lyophilized trifluoroacetate (TFA) salts, which can be stored long term in conventional freezers. The amount of TFA can vary from product to product, and for some applications residual TFA is undesirable. TFA salt removal is offered by Core staff for an additional fee; please inquire at the time of ordering for details.

Rigor and Reproducibility

The Peptide Synthesis Core Facility uses standard operating procedures to produce peptide products. These general procedures are consistent from project to project and encompass the synthetic methods, purification, and characterization of the final material. Peptide products are provided to users along with liquid chromatography purity results and mass spectrometry confirmation. Records for all peptide samples including synthesis method, HPLC gradient and data, mass spectrometry spectra, and LCMS purity test are maintained electronically by the Core for a minimum of 5 years.
