ANTEC illustration featured on JACS coverseniw-jacs-cover-360x360.jpg

An illustration created by Mark Seniw, ANTEC's scientific illustrator, was selected as a cover image for the October 2, 2024, issue of the Journal of the American Chemical Society. Seniw produced the illustration for Professor Milan Mrksich and coauthors to accompany their article titled "Synthesis and Activity of T-Cell Tumor-Directing MegaMolecules."

RASTRUM bio-inkjet printer demo is underway! Rastrum inkjet bioprinter

The Inventia RASTRUM bio-inkjet 3D cell culture printer is available at ANTEC for a limited time as a demo.

This instrument enables users to create hydrogel-embedded 3D cell cultures with tunable stiffness and a wide selection of geometries and additives. User-supplied cells are mixed with the gelation activator solution, which will be co-printed with the hydrogel matrix solution in 24, 96 and 384-well formats. The wizard-assisted, highly automated workflow reduces errors associated with manual 3D cell culture creation.

New additions to ANTEC's equipment poolantec-3d-printer-265x265.jpg

ANTEC has added two new instruments to the laboratory, effective September 1, 2023. The JASCO J-1500 Circular Dichroism (CD) Spectrometer is available for reservation through NUCore, and the Prusa i3 MK3+ Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D Printer  (pictured at right) can be used for prototype manufacturing of parts that accelerate research activities. Users interested in printing parts should contact Hiroaki Sai (hiroaki.sai@northwestern.edu) with a 3D model.
