Lyophilizers

Description and Applications

ANTEC houses two Labconco lyophilizers for freeze-drying biological and chemical materials. The Freezone 6 Plus system is designed for samples with low eutectic points, which contain residual organic solvents.

The Freezone 6 lyophilizer is equipped with a stoppering tray dryer with adjustable temperature control from -40° C to 40° C and three sensors for sample temperature monitoring. This setup is suitable for freeze-drying biological samples, processing large loads of vials and stoppering them under vacuum, and drying flat sheets of materials.

Users reserve individual ports for processing and may borrow lyophilization flasks and adapters from the Core. ANTEC provides liquid nitrogen at no additional charge to lyophilizer users.
